TAG Aviation,
the main operator at
Farnborough Airport, are currently running a preliminary consultation
exercise to find out people's views on the potential impact on their
quality of life if they were to increase the operation at the
aerodrome. The
consultation was launched on the 19th May and the deadline for response
is 30th June 2008.
They claim that this consultation will provide feedback that they can
use to
inform their Airport Master Plan, which will reveal their overall
plan
of growth for the next 20 years. They intend to publish their Master
Plan at the
end of this year.
Tag have produced a glossy
document which includes a feedback form. You can respond online via
their
dedicated web-site: www.farnboroughairportconsultation.com.
If you believe that you would be affected by any future expansion of
Farnborough Aerodrome (whether positively or negatively) you
should take the opportunity to respond this consultation. However, you
should be aware that this is TAG's private consultation and the more
public consultation which Rushmoor will run into their LDF will also
need your response at a future date. There should be no expectation
that TAG would necessarily share your response to their consultation
with Rushmoor.
FARA have produced and distributed to those residents living directly
under the flight path this helpful briefing
sheet (in PDF).
